As a mark of mourning and respect for the victims of the coronavirus and for the medics and other heroes who had sacrificed their lives in the battle against the pandemic, the Chinese National Flags across China and at Chinese embassies and consulates will be flown at half-mast April 4, the General Office of the State Council announced this morning.
During the national mourning, all public recreational activities across the country shall be halted.
Starting from 10 a.m., April 4, a three minutes’ silence will be observed, during which cars, trains and ships will honk horns and air raid sirens will wail to pay tributes to the deceased.
