THE Executive Office of the Organizing Committee for the 26th Summer Universiade is seeking Universiade slogans from the general public until the end of this year.
The slogans should be international in nature and acceptable to people of different geographical regions and cultural backgrounds. They should also be concise, emotional and easy to pronounce, reflecting the Universiade spirit and the openness of Shenzhen. Slogans should be in Chinese but residents are also welcome to submit an English version.
Experts chosen by the Executive Office will pick the 10 best slogans. Public voting will cut the list down to five and the Executive Office will decide the final slogan.
The person whose slogan is chosen will receive a 30,000-yuan (US$3,947) award, and the nine runners-up will each receive 3,000 yuan.
Residents can send their slogans to sz2011@sznews.com or by post to the Executive Committee, 10/F, Great China International Exchange Square, 1 Fuhua Road 1, Futian District.
