A TOTAL of 3,016 exhibitors attended this year"s China Hi-Tech Fair, which concluded Friday, Gao Guohui, deputy secretary general of Shenzhen Municipal Government, said at a press conference.
The exhibitors brought 3,593 high-tech projects and products to the fair, showcasing the latest technologies in sectors such as new-energy vehicles, high-end equipment manufacturing, information technology and new materials. A total of 205 different activities were held during the six-day fair, attracting five high-level officials from foreign governments, 39 academics, and a large number of scholars from home and abroad, multinational company executives and entrepreneurs.
More than 546,000 people from 83 countries and regions and 123 delegations visited this year"s fair, according to Gao.
In addition, statistics show that the average number of daily visitors each booth received was 235 this year.
The online fair, meanwhile, has received 16,533 projects from different companies and investors so far, providing matchmaking opportunities for enterprises.
During the 16th high-tech fair, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences set up Steinbeis Makers Institute in cooperation with Steinbeis Hochshule Berlin.
