1. Shenzhen should focus on serving various enterprises well in their work and production resumption and reaching full capacity. On March 9, Wang Weizhong, Secretary of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, presided over a meeting of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee. It was emphasized during the meeting that the current situation of epidemic prevention and control was moving toward a positive direction, and the focus of Shenzhen had shifted from “strictly preventing imported cases from and exported cases to other regions and at the same time contain the spread of the epidemic within the city” to preventing imported cases from overseas, and serving various enterprises in their work and production resumption as well as reaching full capacity etc. (Source:sztv.com)
2. Shenzhens top 100 foreign trade companies have all resumed work and production. Nearly all employees in Shenzhens top 100 foreign trade companies have been back to work, and the sales growth of the online sector has been close to 100%. Shenzhens commerce authorities have opened up service channels for fighting against COVID-19 by introducing to enterprises cross-border loans, export credit insurance and other financial services, and launching customs clearance loan, a credit loan product, to open up green channels for the financing needs of import and export enterprises. Shenzhen has strengthened the supervision and regulation of medical waste and medical waste water disposal with more than 1,400 tons of medical waste being treated safely in the city since the epidemic outbreak. The treatment of medical waste and medical waste water is an important link in epidemic prevention and control. Shenzhen Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce has assisted work and production resumption by resolving difficulties for enterprises in demand of labor and in the transportation sector through matching resources. The Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce had coordinated and lined up Shenzhens twining regions for support and major labor export provinces, and adopted measures such as unified organization, unified physical examination, unified chartered bus, unified on-board services, and unified prevention and protection. 5. Shenzhen “health stations” have pressed the “fast-forward button” for the city in getting back on the normal track. With two thirds of its population being non-locally registered residents (without a hukou), Shenzhen, as a mega migrant city, has received a large number of returnees back to work during the acceleration of work and production resumption. In order to safeguard the residents’ health and ease employers’ pressure on the health management, 82 “health stations” —hotels for collective medical observation, have been set up in all districts of the city, thus pressing the fast-forward button for the city to return to its normal track. The advertising sector in Shenzhen demonstrated social responsibility through broadcasting publicity video of epidemic prevention and control for over 67,000 times and displaying relevant pictures for 300 million times. After the outbreak of the epidemic, a number of advertising enterprises in Shenzhen, with the overall landscape of epidemic prevention and control in mind, have vigorously carried out publicity on epidemic prevention for public good through their own commercial advertising platforms.
