TEN Shenzhen-based brands were included in the list of "the most competitive brands on the market" compiled by the Ministry of Commerce, Thursday"s Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported.
The ministry released the list, which covers more than 200 brands in nine categories, Wednesday on its official Web site. All the brands on the list were conferred the "most competitive" title and the right to use the title, the Daily report said.
Most of the award-winning Shenzhen companies, including Konka, Skyworth and Great Wall, are in six categories: grain and edible oil products, beverages, footwear, home appliances, computers and digital phone exchanges.
The building of brands is one of the important measures the Ministry of Commerce has taken to boost foreign trade, the Daily report said. It has been listed as one of the 13 key tasks of the ministry for the year 2006, according to the report.
