Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport on Wednesday started a door-to-door check-in baggage delivery service, and the service will remain free until March 31, sznews.com reported.
The airport was the first airport in China to launch this service. According to the service, the staff collect luggage from a passenger’s door. Then, the luggage is transported via the passenger’s flight and later delivered to his (her) home. Air travelers can enjoy less luggage hassles in their trips.
By now, the service has covered all flights of 18 airlines, including China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Hainan Airlines, in seven airports, namely Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing Daxing International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, Sunan Shuofang International Airport, Taiyuan Wusu International Airport and Hefei Xinqiao International Airport.
The service has been recently upgraded. Passengers can now track their luggage status on Shenzhen airport’s WeChat miniprogram and get their e-baggage claim tags immediately after check-in.
