MORE than 30,000 medium and senior posts will be offered at the 2008 Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP), to be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from Nov. 28 to 29.
Training institutions and employment agencies from 40 countries and regions have been invited to attend the two-day fair while more than 3,000 foreigners and overseas-educated Chinese will also participate.
"We expect more finance professionals from European countries this year because of the financial crisis, and we will recommend talent to foreign-funded banks and investment companies in China," said Li Ming, vice director general of the personnel bureau.
The CIEP would also exhibit more than 10,000 projects, including new technology, to improve communication among talent service organizations, higher education institutions and science and technology research centers, Li said.
In addition, an international talent summit will be held at the Sheraton Shenzhen Futian Hotel on Nov. 29, focusing on training and attracting international talent to meet the needs of globalization.
More than 1,300 people were expected to attend the summit, twice the figure of last year. Experts from home and abroad, such as Maurice Strong, former Under Secretary General of the United Nations, would be invited to speak at the summit, Li said.
